Bohemian style originated in the 1700s but its influence in fashion can be dated back to the 19th century. The style was linked to gypsies who were believed to have originated from Bohemia and lived unconventional lives centered on creativity and communal living.
The liberating comfort of the loose aesthetics of the bohemian style captures those who are carefree at heart. Instead of body-fitting clothes, bohemians prefer long, comfortable clothing created from light fibers. This can be seen in peasant chemises, caftans, maxi dresses, or gypsy skirts usually matched with boho bags, jackets, and headband or belt.
Today’s Bohemian style include tunic tops, bell-bottom pants, flowing skirts, floral fabrics, and headscarves or headbands. The look of the hair and makeup is natural, while the clothing and accessories are eclectic.
I love styling myself in a Boho look specially during the summers as it is very comfortable and colorful. So here is my version of Boho -Chic.
I paired an cold-shoulder dress from Shein with gladiator footwear from Catwalk finished with stud detailing and tassels. Finished this look with a braided head band and pair of hoops.
You can pair your outfits with boots, silver rings and also layer your neck pieces on your simple dresses or top to give it a Boho touch.
