The showing off the shoulder trend has really shown staying power in the fashion world and this trend is definitely making its cut to 2018. According to WGSN (formerly Worth Global Style Network) worlds leading trend authority, the off the shoulder trend will further evolve in 2018 – think spaghetti straps, layering another shirt underneath your off-the-shoulder shirt or try an off-the-shoulder coat.
I personally love the cold shoulder trend more than the off shoulder as it does not restrict or bother my arms and they don’t lift up when I raise my arms like the horizontal elastic bands on off shoulder tops might.
Here are two of my favorite cold shoulder outfits-
The Western Ensemble
Added a flirty touch to my wardrobe with this cold shoulder shirt, paired it up with a boho statement necklace. Jumped into the denim skirt bandwagon by pairing this cold shoulder top with my high waisted denim skirt. Finished the look with a pair of white shoes.
The Indian Ensemble
Got this cold shoulder kurti stitched at a local tailor which is made from Mangalgiri cotton and paired it with a chikankari plazzo. Added a statement mirror ring and finished this look with an adorable high-shine metallic block heels.
You can rock a cold-shoulder top even in chilly weather by wearing full-sleeve length outfit, in warmer knits. Pair it with skinny jeans and boots to sport the cold-shoulder trend this weather.
Style Tip – Ensure that the shoulder cut fits you perfectly, whether you’re wearing a fitted top or an over sized one. It should not droop down your arms showing your underarms, nor should it be too tight. Lastly wear a strapless or halter bra with cold-shoulder tops. Avoid transparent or colorful straps as they look tacky and take away from the shoulder cuts.
